Preeminent Group of Wealth Planning Attorneys
Form Anderson Yazdi Hwang Minton + Horn LLP
Burlingame, Calif. – January 6, 2014 – A preeminent group of Northern California wealth planning attorneys is pleased to announce the formation of their firm, Anderson Yazdi Hwang Minton + Horn LLP, effective January 1, 2014. The firm immediately becomes one of the largest and most experienced wealth advisory-focused law firms in California, with a dozen attorneys delivering sophisticated advisory and controversy-related services to a diverse base of high net worth clients.
The team of 28 attorneys, paralegals and staff were previously with the firm Carr McClellan Ingersoll Thompson & Horn, where they comprised essentially the entire estate planning and administration practice and much of the trust and estate litigation group. The new firm includes former Carr McClellan name partner Albert J. Horn, who joins Anderson Yazdi as a founder/emeritus partner. It includes a full-service advisory practice as well as a leading controversy practice, representing both plaintiffs and defendants on trust, estate, and fiduciary litigation.
“The formation of our new firm comes at an optimal time, enabling us to even more effectively meet our clients’ needs, as well as seize new opportunities in this very dynamic and growing market for wealth-related legal services,” said Steven D. Anderson, managing partner. “Feedback from clients, the vast majority of whom will be joining us at the new firm, has been extremely positive. We remain deeply committed to serving as their trusted advisors, and adapting and evolving based on the changing dynamics of high net worth-related matters such as asset protection, privacy and their increasing cross-border needs.”
The firm retains its deep commitment to civic and professional leadership, and its partners hold leadership positions in a wide range of California-based organizations. The partners are:

For more than 25 years, he has designed and implemented virtually every type of estate planning mechanism for high-net-worth families and individuals. Among his many professional and civic leadership positions, Steve is Vice President of the San Francisco Estate Planning Council and a life member of the Board of Directors of Peninsula Family Service. Steve has been named a Northern California Super Lawyer from 2005 through 2013.
Golnar Yazdi

He has also successfully represented clients in estate tax and gift tax audits, trust reformation proceedings and requests for private letter rulings. Sinclair has been named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers from 2009 through 2013.

He is a valuable mentor and resource for the firm’s younger colleagues.
“I am deeply proud and excited to be a part of this group of enterprising and highly talented attorneys in forming our new firm,” said Horn. “Our focus and commitment remains unwavering: to help clients grow their wealth and pass it on to future generations while minimizing the impact of taxes.”
